Hydra: Songs & Tales of Bohemia

After sell out shows in 2015 and 2016, the island is back by popular demand with two more performances set for March 2017 with additional tribute to Leonard Cohen.

Hydra: Songs and Tales of Bohemia weaves music, song, documentary footage and narrative to recreate the Zeitgeist of the Greek island of Hydra in the 1960s. From Leonard Cohen to Allen Ginsberg, Sidney Nolan to Peter Finch, artists gravitated around the glamorous Australian literary couple George Johnston and Charmian Clift on this tiny Aegean island in a time of rebellion, romance and creativity.

Through the songs of Leonard Cohen, Australian artists Chris Fatouros and Spiros Falieros will recreate the period across two more nights at the inaugural MPavilion, Hellenic Museum courtyard. A bar and the Psistaria will be open, serving Greek food and drinks throughout the night.

Performance dates:
Saturday 11 March – 6.30pm gates open for an 8.00pm start: tickets available here
Sunday 12 March – 6.30pm gates open for a 8.00pm start: tickets available here
