Volunteering at Hellenic Museum
Volunteers at the Hellenic Museum play a vital role in the delivery of our cultural and educational programs. Our volunteers are committed to enhancing each visitor’s experience through knowledge, enthusiasm and community participation.
Applications for volunteering at the Hellenic Museum are now open.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone over the age of 17 can volunteer; as long as you have a strong commitment and interest in the arts, classical studies, archaeology or community relations.
What our volunteers do?
Hellenic Museum volunteers operate primarily in front of house roles such as reception and gift shop; they assist visitors in understanding and interacting with the exhibitions, activities, and events; and assist museum staff in program delivery.
At times, volunteers may assist in areas such as marketing, research and administration, and may also be called upon to undertake guided tours, depending on experience.
All Hellenic Museum volunteers work alongside staff. The opening times of the Museum are Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Our volunteers work within these hours on a roster basis.
