Are you brave enough to create your own mighty hoplite shield?
Hoplites were ancient Greek warriors. They protected their city states in wars with other cities and with foreign enemies. They were also employed within cities to maintain order in society, almost like the police today!!
In this craft filled workshop kids will make their own Hoplite shield. We will learn about Hoplite armour and the important role the Hoplites played in Ancient Greece. Donning their armour, kids will engage in a historical re-enactment of the Hoplite’s famous Phalanx military formation.

Ever wanted to try your hand at making your own polymer clay jewellery?
In this 1.5 hour workshop, you will learn about the basics for working with polymer clay, blending colours, forming bead shapes and adding accents. You will also learn some fun facts about ancient beads and be able to use this information for inspiration. Lots of colours will be available as well as stringing supplies. At the end of this workshop you will walk away with your very own ancient inspired necklace designed by you!
