Hephaestus is the Greek god of blacksmithes, fire and forging and is married to Aphrodite, goddess of love. He was part of the twelve Olympians. A myth says that when he was a baby, his mother Hera threw him off Olympus because he was small and ugly. He fell into the Okeanos, a mighty river, and was saved and raised by two sea nymphs who taught him the blacksmith's trade. When he grew up, he sent his mother a golden throne and when Hera sat on it, she was bound and could not be freed.
The set contains a 7cm tall Hephaestus with hammer and anvil, blacksmith's tongs, and shield.
