Zeus is the son of the Titan couple Rhea and Kronos and the ruler of the Olympians. He is the god of the sky and thunder and is usually depicted as an older bearded man. His wife is Hera and their children include Ares, Hebe, Eileithya and Hephaistos, but Zeus also had many other children with other women. On earth, the father of the gods often appeared to people not in his original form, but as an animal, like an eagle or bull, or even as fire.
The play set consists of a 7cm tall figure of Zeus with his attributes sceptre and lightning bundle, as well as a chair, a column and an eagle.
