Kleopatra Haritou: Prosfygika

Kleopatra Haritou: Prosfygika

Published in 2012, Haritou's book explores and highlights the architectural and historical importance of the Prosfygika - apartments blocks built for refugees from Asia Minor. She captures the interiors of the apartments and their imprint of daily life after they were abandoned following their sale in 2001 to the State Property Company. This last photographic documentary of refugees from Asia Minor explores the language of forgetfulness, a contrast to the previous pulsating and fluid life within Prosfygika.
