The Hellenic Museum is Australia's only museum dedicated to showcasing the transformational power of Greek art, history and culture — a culture 8,000 years in the making, and one constantly being remade in ever more exciting ways.
Science, philosophy, politics, democracy — these were the ancient Greeks' gifts to the world. At the Hellenic Museum, we believe these are not dead concepts or stale history lessons, but a live framework for progressive human thought. For shared progress, to inspire a better tomorrow.
Over two storeys and ten exhibitions, discover stories of the thread that connects us all, from the ancient to contemporary.
The Hellenic Museum is open 10AM–4PM daily, excluding Victorian public holidays.
The Museum also closes over the Christmas and New Year period, with dates announced annually.
