Information and guidelines for proposing exhibitions and programs at the Hellenic Museum
The Hellenic Museum features a robust schedule of programs and events across the year, including exhibitions, workshops, lectures, theatre and more. We welcome proposals from artists, researchers, community groups, organisations, exhibition organisers and other museums and galleries to be considered for inclusion in our future exhibitions and programs planning.
The following types of projects may be proposed:
-
Exhibitions: Displays of historical objects and/or art, curated to showcase a premise or narrative
-
Programs: Workshops, activities, lectures and similar experiences for any age that merge creativity with education
To submit an exhibition or program proposal:

Project lead times
We work to finalise exhibitions a minimum of 18 months in advance, and programs a minimum of 6 months in advance. Some projects may require a greater advance period to allow for research and development, if applicable. We strongly recommend all projects be submitted for consideration with as much lead time as possible.

Physical submissions
We kindly request that you do not send any objects or other physical materials to the Museum without prior agreement.

Submission review and response
Only proposals that meet the outlined criteria will be considered. Proposals are considered by the Curatorial & Programming Committee a select number of times annually, and these dates are indicated in the relevant Submission Forms. Please refer to these dates to understand when your proposal will be considered, and when to anticipate a response.
