Blood, Sweat and Spears: Ancient Warfare
Students handle and interpret artefacts of war (such as ancient arrowheads, swords and helmets) and make their own Greek Hoplite warrior shield. Participants learn about the development of warfare and the important role that Hoplites played in ancient Greek city states, before donning their shield to re-enact the famous phalanx military formation.
