A Woman's World: Gender, Status and Representation

Students investigate representations of women in Greek art and texts, and what they reveal about the status, role and experiences of women from prehistory to ancient Greek society. Students are introduced to the field of women's historical studies and investigate the lack of female voices and experiences in the historical and archaeological record.
