Join documentary photographer Effy Alexakis and sociocultural historian Leonard Janiszewski for an intimate floor talk in their exhibition Viewfinder: Effy Alexakis. Providing personal insights into the photographs and related themes of the exhibition and highlighting the significance of the Greek-Australian experience, they will guide attendees through the display discussing aesthetic considerations, migration-settlement history and interconnected diasporic narratives.

Viewfinder: Effy Alexakis is a survey of one of Australia's leading portrait and documentary photographers, who has chronicled the Greek-Australian experience for over 40 years. This exhibition will share a selection of the artist's key works and explore the themes underpinning her personal and artistic journey to understand her cultural heritage.
