Event Details

You don't need electricity to spark a great idea! Long before the age of electronics, ancient Greeks built some of the first robots in history, which were powered by wind, hydraulics and mechanisms like cogs and cranks.

These school holidays, budding young inventors will discover the history of automata, and bring it to life as they construct a cardboard automaton of their own! This hands-on workshop is ideal for young explorers aged 7–13.

This event is part of the Hellenic Museum Argonauts Club school holiday program, Argo Adventurers: Hands-On History!
