Event Details
As a cherished member of the Hellenic Museum community, you are invited to the double opening of two new exhibitions at the Hellenic Museum:
PHYSIS: Elemental Bodies
With Lilli Waters | Open to the public from Fri 13 Nov
In PHYSIS, Waters' photographs are a dreamy exploration of the intimate relationship between the female body, mythology and the elemental forces of the natural world.
Contemporary Cycladic Art: A Greek-Australian Homage
With Efrossini Chaniotis | Open to the public from Sat 7 Nov
In Contemporary Cycladic Art, Chaniotis reinterprets the form, function and appearance of ancient Cycladic marble sculptures to create new objects of personal resonance, storytelling and meaning-making.
Through two distinct mediums, visitors will encounter captivating, thoughtful works that invite reflection on the enduring ties and living continuum that connects us, the past and the present.
Please join us for light refreshments from 6PM, with proceedings commencing at 6.30PM. Hear from the curators and artists, then have the opportunity to experience both exhibitions, in advance of PHYSIS opening to the public on Friday 13 November.
This is an exclusive event. Please register below by Sunday 1 November to attend.
