Attend the official opening of the Hellenic Museum's latest exhibition, Viewfinder: Effy Alexakis.

Join us for refreshments from 6PM, with formalities to commence at 6.30PM. Guests will hear from Hellenic Museum CEO and Head of Curation, Sarah Craig; inaugural Hellenic Senior Lecturer in Global Diasporas at University of Melbourne, Dr Andonis Piperoglou; followed by the exhibiting photographer herself, Effy Alexakis. Then have the opportunity to preview the exhibition and explore other Museum galleries until the event concludes at 8PM.

is a survey of one of Australia's leading portrait and documentary photographers, who has chronicled the Greek-Australian experience for over 40 years. This exhibition will share a selection of the artist's key works and explore the themes underpinning her personal and artistic journey to understand her cultural heritage.
