ABOUT GREEK LOVE:

“Someone, I tell you, will remember us, even in another time.” – Sappho, 630 BCE – 570 BCE.

The recollection of Greco-Roman myths and histories have been popular mediums through which same-sex relationships, gender exploration and human diversity has been portrayed.

Join the Hellenic Museum for a night of uncovering the queer-coded histories and mythologies of antiquity. Greek Love will inform and entertain, as well as challenge how we, as a modern audience, interpret the past and how it relates to contemporary LGBTQIA+ representations.

Your ticket includes entry to the museum, a cocktail on arrival and a series of illuminating presentations by the Hellenic Museum team, followed by canapés and informal discussion.

Thank you to our sponsors, Melbourne Gin Company for making this event possible.

Please note: this is an 18+ event. ID will be checked at the door.
