About

Explore 8,000 years of Hellenic history with insight from a Hellenic Museum docent. Our public tours last for one hour and guide you through the Gods, Myths & Mortals exhibition, featuring treasures on loan from the Benaki Museum in Athens.

The Gods, Myths & Mortals collection includes a remarkable breadth of pottery, statues, jewellery, art, manuscripts, costumes and weapons. Through these objects you will discover the influences, and influence of, Greek civilisation.

You will have the opportunity to ask the docent questions about the Museum and its collections and discover the history of the former Royal Mint building.

After the tour, we encourage you to explore our other exhibitions and collections, housed over two floors and the front lawn of the Museum. Entry to the rest of the Museum is included with your tour ticket.

Tours run on the first Saturday of each month and are presented in English. Please note, bookings for each tour close 12pm the day prior.
