Event Details

Explore 8,000 years of Hellenic history with insight from a Museum docent.

This 1-hour public tour will guide you through the Hellenic Museum's Gods, Myths & Mortals exhibition which features over 200 treasures on loan from the Benaki Museum in Athens. Discover the influences, and influence of Greek civilisation through this remarkable exhibition of pottery, statues, jewellery, art, manuscripts, costumes and weapons.

Have the opportunity to ask your docent questions about the exhibition, the broader Museum and the history of the former Royal Mint building. After the tour, visitors are encouraged to explore other exhibitions and collections housed over the two floors and forecourt of the Hellenic Museum, with general entry included in your ticket.

Tours run on the first Saturday of each month and are presented in English.
