Guided by a Hellenic Museum curator and expert art instructors, participants of this special event will journey into the vibrant world of Greek history, and discover how historians uncover the secret worlds of historical women through the medium of art.

While painting a portion of The Saffron Gatherers fresco from the ancient Akrotiri settlement on Santorini, attendees will discover the significance of saffron in Minoan culture and explore its symbolic ties to wealth, power and divinity, all while indulging in delectable wine and food.

Explore your artistic talents while learning about the historical context and cultural significance of the artwork. A brief talk accompanying the painting session will delve deeper into the history of the painting, providing insights into its relevance both in ancient times and in contemporary society.
