Stones, pebbles and shells, oh my! For thousands of years, mosaics have been made from all kinds of materials and used to decorate ancient Greek buildings, Roman fountains and even Mexican skulls.
Join us on a journey of colour, patterns and geometry as you learn about the history of mosaics, the materials they were made from, and craft a miniature mosaic of your own, inspired by ancient designs. This hands-on workshop is ideal for budding artists and historians aged 7–13.
This event is part of the Hellenic Museum Argonauts Club school holiday program, Argo Adventurers: Hands-On History!
