Event Details
Join Duldig Studio Curatorial and Research Associate Melinda Mockridge and Hellenic Museum Education Officer Valentina Bydanova for a dialogue between ancient and modern artistic expression, during a tour of Karl Duldig’s modernist sculptural works that reveal the links, inspiration and tension between the modernists and the ancients.
While Modernism radically challenged the way the global community saw art, by deconstructing and rewriting arts’ classical inheritance, and questioning standards of beauty and reality, there is more to this dynamic than a clash of ideas.
Explore with us the complex relationship between Ancient and Modern, in the fascinating surrounds of an émigré Modernist’s home and studio.
Tickets include a complimentary glass of wine and light refreshments.
Please note: This event is hosted at Duldig Studio, Malvern East – not at the Hellenic Museum.
