Be among the first to experience the Hellenic Museum's major 2024 exhibition, The Spirit of Byron: Philhellenism and the Greek War of Independence.
This original exhibition commemorates 200 years since the death of Lord Byron, exploring the Greek War of Independence and the Philhellenic movement through the lens of his remarkable life and legacy, and the rich visual culture of the Romantic period.
As a valued member of the Hellenic Museum community, you are not only the first to hear about this exhibition, but invited to join us at an exclusive opening celebration to be held on the day of the bicentennial.
Join us for refreshments from 6.30PM and formalities from 7PM, where guests will have the opportunity to hear from Hellenic Museum curator Sara Prica; academic and collector, Dr John Robertson of The Robertson Collection; and esteemed academic Dr Spiridoula Demetriou. Then, be invited to experience the exhibition until the event concludes at 8.30PM.
