Event Details
How did humans survive hundreds of thousands of years ago? What were the first steps humans took towards inventing technology? How can we learn from the Stone Age, and use resources from nature to make useful tools for survival?
In this school holiday workshop, budding young historians will discover the incredible ingenuity and colossal creativity of Stone Age humans. Have an opportunity to handle ancient artefacts from the Hellenic Museum collection, then get creative with a series of fun, hands-on activities! Including learning how to construct a stone age axe, and produce rock paintings by crushing natural pigments – just as the ancients did.
This workshop is recommended for young explorers and curious minds aged 6–13. Tickets include all materials, and Museum general admission after the workshop.
