Get into the festive spirit with this hands-on workshop where art, history and creativity collide.


Hosted after-hours in the stunning Hellenic Museum, your evening will begin with an exclusive curator-led tour and talk in the Divine Thresholds: Icons and the Orthodox Christian World exhibition. Explore the development of icons and how they utilised established symbols and visual language to communicate meaning, before creating your own symbolically-inspired tokens.


Settling into workshop stations inside this reverent exhibition, you'll be guided to craft a series of personal ornaments using beautiful foil embossing techniques, while drawing inspiration from the historic treasures surrounding you. Come away with newfound knowledge and a set of entirely unique, shimmering decorations to gift or treasure this festive season.

  • 90-minute experience, including a 20-minute curator-led tour and 70-minute crafting session

  • Exclusive after-hours museum access

  • All materials and guidance to create your own embossed foil ornament set – no experience required!
