Event Details

Get into the festive spirit with this hands-on workshop where art, history and creativity collide.

Hosted after hours in the stunning Hellenic Museum, the evening will begin with an exclusive, curator-led tour of the Rituals: Gifts for the Gods international exhibition. Explore 8,000 years of ritual and ceremony in the ancient Mediterranean, and discover the fascinating history behind ancient offerings and sacred objects before creating your own modern interpretations.

Settling into workshop stations throughout the gallery, you'll be guided to craft a series of your own personal ornaments using beautiful foil embossing techniques, while drawing inspiration from the ancient treasures surrounding you. Come away with newfound knowledge and a set of entirely unique, shimmering decorations to gift or treasure this festive season.

Your Experience Includes:

  • 90-minute workshop with exclusive after-hours museum access, including a 20-minute curator's tour and 70-minute crafting session,

  • Complimentary non-alcoholic mulled wine on arrival, before the session begins, and

  • All materials and guidance to create your own embossed foil ornament set – no experience required!

Please note: this workshop is limited to participants aged 18+.
