Event Details
Join artist Marco Luccio for an intermediate drawing workshop centred around the Hellenic Museum’s cast statue of Aphrodite – the very statue that inspired Luccio’s current Hellenic Museum exhibition, Reverse Archaeology: Metamorphosis of Aphrodite.
In this two and a half hour session, Luccio will guide a small group of participants through a series of Classical and expressive techniques, creating works with a great sense of movement and power. As the group works through the various exercises, they’ll also gain a deeper insight into the goddess – including her mythology, symbolism, and Marco’s own insights on his exhibited works – giving participants the opportunity to imbue their expressive works with a greater sense of character.
