Find out if you have what it takes to become a hoplite (an ancient Greek warrior) in this crafty and active workshop!
We'll explore our Heroes & Hoplites exhibition and discover the important role hoplites played in ancient Greece, what battle tactics they used, how they trained and the kind of armour they wore.
You'll then design your very own hoplite shield and make a helmet before completing your physical hoplite training, after which we will learn and recreate the famous phalanx military formation!
