TOUR ENQUIRIES & FAQS
Interested in booking a tour at the Hellenic Museum? We can't wait to welcome you! Submit an enquiry and our team will contact you to confirm your booking.
The Hellenic Museum offers guided tours.
There are 2 types of guided tour: public guided tours, and private weekday tours.
Public guided tours exploring highlights from the museum collections are held periodically. Tickets are available online to the general public and each tour is capped at 15 people. This is our recommended tour format for general visitors, seeking a guided tour as an individual or in a small group.
For general visitors in groups of 8 or more and all education groups seeking a guided tour, we recommend a private weekday tour. These tours are available for groups of 8–20 people between 10AM–3PM Monday to Friday, subject to availability.
Visitor groups of 8 or more, and all education groups should contact us to enquire.
In order to provide the most comfortable and enriching experience, Hellenic Museum tours are capped at a maximum of 20 people per tour. For school groups, this number must include at least two (2) supervising adults. For groups larger than 20, multiple tours should be arranged.
Bookings are required for all groups planning a visit to the Hellenic Museum.
Tours can be arranged by completing the enquiry form above.
To book any other group visit, please contact us.

It is recommended groups arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled booking, to allow time for arrival, cloaking bags and splitting into groups where applicable.
The Hellenic Museum does not offer a space for bus and van parking.
Bus and van drop-off/collection only is available with advanced notice. If this applies to your booking, please advise and we will supply a map of the drop-off zone and entry points, and ensure this space is accessible on the day.
Paid parking is available at the Mint Carpark, located directly behind the Museum. This is managed by Working Heritage Victoria. We recommend contacting WHV to discuss whether bus or van parking may be available.
Due to the number of groups scheduled throughout the day, we ask that you arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Your group is more than welcome to explore the rest of the Museum after your scheduled visit.
The Museum does not have indoor lunchroom facilities. Bags, particularly those containing lunches, must be stored in cloak as no bulky items, or food or drink is permitted in gallery spaces.
We encourage groups to picnic in our Forecourt or the neighbouring Flagstaff Gardens. Education groups with extended/all-day bookings, or who are participating in workshops which utilise our Classroom or Pavilion, may be able to have lunch in these spaces. Please speak with our staff.
Visitors are allowed and encouraged to take photographs, but please do not use flash.
All requests to change or cancel existing appointments must be made via email to info@hellenic.org.au. Please include your name, telephone number, name of organisation, and date and time of your visit.
Particularly in the case of guided visits, we kindly ask for as much advance notice as possible so that we may assign your guide to another group.
