Event Details
This winter holidays, come on a journey across the night sky with our new Argonauts Academy adventure, Star Stories: The hidden myths, monsters and heroes in the night sky.
Adventures aged 4 to 8 will explore time and space to learn about the stories and history behind the constellations. They will handle objects over 2,000 years old and delve into the history of the artefacts in the Hellenic Museum.
They will then complete a make-and-take activity where they can create their own constellation using glow-in-the-dark materials, and make their very own planisphere – a device used by astronomers for centuries, that will help them to find the constellations in the night sky once they return home.
This workshop is ideal for ages 4–8, and will be conducted in English.
A session conducted in Modern Greek is available on Monday 14 July.
Tickets include museum general entry, including our new landmark exhibition, Rituals: Gifts for the Gods.
